Frequently Asked Questions

What sort of space do you need?

For schools, a spare classroom or school hall is ideal. For museums and libraries and other events, we can be flexible depending on what space you have available!

Are you likely to get fully-booked?

In most terms, yes. Booking early helps you guarantee a slot. For half-term and other holiday events we recommend making contact 9 months in advance. PalaeoLab can hold dates if required, for a short period.

Are you Enhanced DBS checked and insured?

Yes, Enhanced DBS (updated yearly).  PalaeoLab has full public liability insurance, covering up to £2 million. A risk assessment will be provided for your given activity.

Do you do half-days?

Depending on your location, yes!

How much do you charge?

For schools there is a flat-rate fee of £395 for full-days and £295 for half-days.  Travel is included in this price and there is no VAT to pay. To discuss event pricing please do make contact.

What happens after we've made a booking with you?

About two weeks before the agreed visit, Jules will send over a small pack of information about the visit and make contact via email. This pack will contain Health & Safety information, Jules's DBS documentation and insurance details. You will be asked to provide details of the timings for the planned sessions.

What time will you arrive?

Jules will arrive at least half an hour before the start of the first session.
